Predatory Gnat Nematodes are small predatory worms that are safe to plants and people when used as directed. Applications naturally eliminate Gnats in the home and garden. Professional Gardener’s treat the soil of all newly transplanted plants and seedlings with nematodes to assure the garden area of the lowest possible gnat count. Do not treat soil with pesticides before or after application.
EPA Information: Nematodes have been identified as a macroscopic bio-control organism that is exempt from regulation in accordance with Sec. 152.20(a)
Mixing Directions: Mix the entire package contents into no more than 2 gallons of water. The less water the more effective the control of gnats will be. If using chlorinated drinking water, add 1/2 tsp of Blackjack Water Conditioner to each gallon of water in the pail to condition the water before mixing or let water sit in an open bucket for 24 hours to help reduce the chlorine content of the water. For best results, apply immediately to the growing medium surface after mixing the nematodes into water. Keep mixture stirred or shaken for an even application.
Indoor Application:
Soil: The soil should be wet before application. Make an even application to the entire soil surface. Apply to all and every planter, pot, cutting tray and seedling tray using a growing medium that is in the home and growing area. Keep soil surface moist for optimum control. If gnats are thought to be in outdoor planters, treat them with the nematodes as well. Keep mixture stirred for an even application./p>

Outdoor Application: When using the entire package contents, a garden with the dimensions of 20 ft long and 20 ft wide can be treated. Water the garden to moisten the soil surface before application. The use of a watering can or backpack sprayer may be used to evenly distribute the nematodes.
